The denizens of MAKAI SENKI would love to extend their gratitude to the people and groups below. Without their contributions, support, and many other good things, I don't think a good fraction of this silly project would've been possible. Love you guys. ❤

Special Thanks

Those who I think deserve special mention.

  • The many wonderful people of [Nippon Ichi Software] and NIS president/producer Sohei Niikawa - for making Disgaea and so many other lovely games. This wiki wouldn't even exist without their wonderful works. Thank you for providing us with demonically fun and bizzare worlds to explore, both in gameplay and setting. ❤❤❤
  • The also-wonderful people of [NIS America] - for bringing Disgaea and many other great NIS and non-NIS titles to english-speakers. Bless your hearts. ❤
  • Members of the NIS/NISA communities both past and present - for keeping the love of Disgaea strong both on the eastern and western hemispheres via fanworks, discussion, and general support. ❤
  • [ShoutWiki] - provided MAKAI SENKI with a lovely hosting space and framework based on MediaWiki. Give them your support. ❤
  • And you - Hey, you took time out of your day to check out my silly passion project. I appreciate it a lot! I hope your day goes well! ❤

Contributors

People who helped out the wiki in various ways: writing down scripts and dialogue, translating print media, recording gameplay and cutscenes, and sometimes even help with the site's code. All the good stuff and much much more.

  • [Halley] - A.K.A. Shura, A.K.A. Hitoshura. Not only operates the wiki, but handles pagework and framework, script+text compilation, novel+media scans, screencapping of various media, and... well, a lot of other things.
  • [gensou] - Did many other things on the visual side of the site: supplying images, graphic work, and the occasional hunt for any other information. Really the same dude as above but hushhhhhhhh lemme have fun
  • [Anarki] - Provided us with the hard-to-find media discs for Makai Kingdom, Phantom Brave, La Pucelle, and Disgaea 4. Thank you so much!
  • [Pompolic] - Helped with various template code implementation ('specially for infoboxes). Thanks for helping me get this project started!
  • [Water] - Provided translations for the Disgaea calendar month names!
  • [Touhou Wiki] and [Len'en Shoutwiki] - The source codes for various templates were initially by them. It'd be wrong to not credit them.

Of course, there's some people who haven't contributed directly to the wiki, but they've compiled things that the wiki has found useful, so they deserve a mention.

  • [Feinne @ SA Forums] - No relation to the World Eater. Probably. That aside, their LP threads include a lot of scripts for the Disgaea games and other NIS titles, which has made our own script compilation+checking a lot less stressful.
  • [RandomPl0x @ Youtube] - Most of our screencaps from the games' animated openings come from RandomPl0x's fantastic HQ videos of them. They've also recorded cutscenes as well!
  • [Prince Laharl @ Youtube] - Overlord of his own Netherworld. And Twitch channel. They've recorded good deal of the later games' gameplay and story on their streams!
  • [Kaldaien @ Steam] - Creator of the [Pretty Prinny] render enhancement and performance tweak mod for Disgaea PC. Many of our screenshots are based on the PC Disgaeas, so we've found it a great resource.

Artists

Some of the original art assets seen around the wiki were commissioned by cool artists, or done as gifts/trades by some rad people I know. Here are these people.

  • [Brianna] - Helped with designing our lovely prinny mascot Shura!
  • 148S [@ DeviantART] [@ Tumblr] - Artist of the adorable Shura art seen in the wiki logo!
  • Sang - Pixeled the adorably tiny Shura icon used in the section headers!
